Skoda Roomster Air Suspension Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Skoda Roomster with a diesel engine is experiencing issues with its air suspension, causing the car to lean to one side, display an error message on the speedometer, and result in a bumpy ride. The problem is suspected to be related to the air suspension bellows valve. A workshop confirmed the issue with the bellows valve, and a repair is planned to resolve the problem.

Air springs? I am not very familiar with that. Are air springs part of the air suspension system? And how can I check them myself?

Yes, the air springs also called air bags are a crucial component of the air suspension. They essentially replace the traditional coil springs, using pressurized air to maintain ride height and provide a smoother ride. If the bellows valve that controls the air flow to the spring is defective, it can cause all sorts of issues. I would suggest visiting a workshop; they will be able to properly diagnose and fix the problem.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I took my Roomster to a workshop, and they confirmed it was indeed the air suspension bellows valve. The repair cost is estimated at 590€. Hopefully, this will resolve the issue!

I have a Skoda Octavia, and I had similar symptoms a while back. The car was leaning to one side, and the ride was terribly bumpy. Have you checked the air springs? They might be the culprit.
