Summary of the thread
A 2006 Skoda Roomster diesel is experiencing central locking and starting issues, with an error stored in the error memory. The problem may be linked to the bumper antenna, as similar symptoms were resolved by replacing it. A defective cable or plug connection was suspected, and after replacing the antenna, the functionality was restored.

Interesting. Did the signal interference also impact the central locking system's range? Was the startability of the engine affected?

Yes, those symptoms align. The central locking was erratic, and the key needed to be in the ignition. I suggest going to a workshop. They will probably suggest antenna repair or replacement, to rule out radio signal issues.

I appreciate the shared experience. The diagnostic pointed to a defective cable or plug connection as suspected. Following antenna replacement, functionality is restored. Total cost: 95€.

I drive a Roomster too, although a bit newer. I experienced comparable symptoms not long ago. I am not very knowledgeable about car repairs, but could signal interference be a possible issue?
