Skoda Roomster Diesel Lighting Problem

I'm having a weird issue with my 2015 Skoda Roomster diesel. The lights are acting up sometimes they switch on by themselves, and I'm getting an error stored in the error memory. I've done some digging, and it seems like the most likely cause is a defective cable or plug connection somewhere in the system. Anyone experienced anything similar with their headlight switch?

I also have a Roomster, though I'm not sure of the year. I had a similar issue with the car lighting. The headlight switch seemed faulty, the lights would flicker, and I'd get error messages. I checked the fuse box, but all fuses seemed fine. Have you tried checking the dimmer switch as well? Sometimes that can cause problems with the entire car lighting system.

Thanks for the tip! When you say 'similar issue', do you mean the lights were switching on randomly, even when the automotive switch was off? Also, did the error message point to a specific light or just a general 'lighting fault'?

Yes, exactly! The lights would switch on randomly, which was quite annoying. The error message was pretty generic, just indicating a general fault. I'd advise taking it to a workshop; they'll be able to diagnose the exact cable or connection that's causing the problem.

It was a faulty connection, just as suspected. The workshop charged 95€ to fix it. Thanks for the help!
