Interesting. It is intermittent, but mainly happens when the engine is warm. Car electronics sometimes do go haywire. What was the final diagnosis for your issue?

Mine was a tricky one to diagnose as well. The symptoms you are describing sounds a lot like my issue. It could be a faulty sensor somewhere, or a wiring issue. Honestly, I'd check for any blown fuses, but if the electronics are glitching, it may be time to visit the shop before it leaves you stranded. These electrical gremlins can be a nightmare to trace.

Cheers for the advice! Turns out it was a dodgy fuse linked to the ignition switch. Replaced it, and she's purring like a kitten again. Cost me 52€ for the fuse and diagnostics. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar starting issue with my Roomster. Key turn would sometimes do nothing, other times it would crank rough. Is it intermittent or constant now? The starter motor could be faulty, but let's rule out simpler things first. Do your car electronics behave strangely when the engine acts up? Like dashboard lights flickering, radio cutting out?
