Skoda Roomster door lock issue

I am experiencing an issue with my 2011 Skoda Roomster gasoline engine. The vehicle doors can no longer be locked or unlocked. I suspect a faulty door contact signal due to a defective cable or plug connection. This seems to affect the car alarm as well. Has anyone encountered a similar electrical issue? I'm leaning towards checking the wiring harness first.

I drive a Skoda Roomster too. Had something similar happen. Are you sure it's not just the car sensor acting up?

Interesting. Was it the same symptoms with vehicle doors not locking? And do you recall what the underlying car sensor issue was?

Yeah, same symptoms. I couldn't lock the vehicle doors. Honestly, I didn't dive too deep. Just took it straight to the workshop. They sorted the electrical issue out.

I took it to a local workshop, and it turned out to be a faulty wiring harness connection, as suspected. Repair cost me 95€. Everything is working as expected now.
