Skoda Roomster Heating Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Skoda Roomster owner reported low heating output and an error related to the defrost air distribution flap, suggesting a defective cable or plug connection. Another individual with similar issues recommended checking the blower motor but advised professional inspection due to the complexity of accessing the flap. The problem was resolved by a workshop that identified and replaced a faulty plug connection, restoring proper heating functionality.

Thanks for your input. I appreciate it. Did you also have an error stored in the error memory? I am leaning towards a defective cable or plug connection as that's what the error message suggests. My concern is accessing the air distribution flap to inspect the wiring. Is it behind the dashboard panel?

Yes, I had a similar error code related to the air distribution. I didn't attempt the repair myself, as accessing the flap seemed complicated. It's probably best to have a workshop take a look, especially if you suspect it's behind the dashboard panel. They can diagnose the temperature regulation issue properly.

I had the HVAC unit checked at a workshop. The error memory pointed to a faulty connection in the defrost air distribution flap circuit. They replaced a defective plug, and the heating works as expected now. The bill was 95€.

I've experienced similar heating issues with my Roomster. I noticed the heating output was lower than usual, and the air circulation seemed off. Have you checked the blower motor? That could be a possible culprit if the air isn't being distributed properly.
