Skoda Roomster Injection System Problem

My 2007 Skoda Roomster, gasoline engine, is showing symptoms of a faulty injection system. I'm seeing increased fuel consumption, less engine power, frequent engine stalls at idle, and smoke emission when accelerating. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone else had similar issues with this engine?

I have a Roomster too, and I had similar symptoms a while back. Reduced power, stalling... pretty annoying. Have you checked the air filter? Could be a simple fix before diving into the petrol injection system itself. When was your last maintenance?

The air filter was changed during the last maintenance, roughly 5000 km ago. When you experienced similar issues, was there any smoke during acceleration, and did you notice increased petrol consumption?

No smoke with mine, and petrol consumption increased a bit. Stalling was the worst part. I'm no mechanic, but from your description it sounds more serious than just a clogged air filter. I think you should get it checked by a professional at a workshop.

I found a defective cable connection in the injection system. Parts and labor cost 95€. Fuel consumption is normal again, power is back, and the idle is stable. Thanks.
