Skoda Roomster NOx Sensor Issue

Alright, I'm officially pulling my hair out! My Skoda Roomster, 2015 model with a gasoline engine and about 76693 km on the clock, is throwing a fit. The check engine light is on, and the error memory says something about the NOx sensor – you know, the nitrogen oxide thing for pollution control. Plus, I think I can smell exhaust fumes more than usual. Could a defective cable or plug connection of the component really be the cause? Anyone had this happen?

Ah, I see! No, it wasn't specifically the nitrogen oxide sensor, but something related to the emission control system. I didn't figure out the connection myself; I took it to a workshop. They said the error was related to loose contact. Given your exhaust leak smell, it's probably best to get it checked professionally, in my humble opinion.
