Skoda Roomster power window issue
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Skoda Roomster owner experienced issues with inoperable power windows and an error stored in the error memory. The problem was suspected to be a defective power window switch. After checking for obstructions in the window track and finding none, it was advised to have the switch inspected and possibly replaced by a professional. The workshop confirmed the switch was defective, and after replacement, the windows functioned properly again.

Thank you for your response. I have checked the window track, and I did not find any obstructions. When your car window stopped working, did you also have an error stored in the error memory?

Yes, I also had an error stored. If the window track is clear, it's likely the switch. While you could try replacing it yourself, accessing the switch requires removing the door panel and working with the window mechanism. I would advise going to a workshop to ensure it's done correctly and safely.

Thank you for the information. I took it to a workshop and they confirmed the power window switch was defective. The repair cost 200€, as you suggested. The car window now works again.

That sounds similar to an issue I had with my Roomster. The car window simply stopped working. Have you checked the window track for any obstructions? Sometimes debris can cause the regulator motor to overload and trigger a fault.
