Skoda Roomster Seat Heater Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Skoda Roomster with a gasoline engine is experiencing a seat heater failure, where the seat does not warm up. An error code related to the seat heater suggests a defective seat heating mat as the likely cause. A similar issue in another vehicle was resolved by checking the fuse and temperature control, but ultimately, the heating element was identified as the problem. The workshop confirmed the defective heating element, and after replacement, the seat heater functioned correctly.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where was the fuse located in your Corsa? And how did you diagnose a faulty temperature control?

The fuse box was under the steering wheel, I think. But honestly, I didn't diagnose the temperature control myself. I took it straight to the workshop. They ran some tests and told me it could be the temperature control, but in the end, it was the heating element itself. Given you already have an error code, it probably points to the heating element.

The workshop confirmed the heating element in the seat was defective. The repair cost 390€ to replace the seat heater. It's all working as expected now.

Oh man, seat heater failure is the worst! I had the same issue with my old Opel Corsa. The seat would stay cold as ice. Have you checked the fuse for the seat heater? That was the first thing the mechanic asked me. Also, maybe a faulty temperature control? That's just a guess though!
