Skoda Roomster sun blind problem

Thanks for the reply! Yes, there's a faint whirring noise when I try to use it, but the interior accessory doesn't move at all. I've checked for obstructions, and I can't see anything obvious blocking the sun protection. Is there an easy way to access the motor to check it?

Hmm, a whirring noise usually does point to the motor struggling. I'm not sure about accessing it easily, it might be tricky and involve removing some interior trim. If there is an error code stored, and you suspect the motor, it might be best to get it checked by a professional workshop. Better to be safe than sorry and potentially cause more damage to the car interior.

Took the Roomster to a workshop, and they confirmed it was the sun blind motor, just as suspected. Repair cost came out to about 330€. A bit more than I hoped, but at least the window visor is working again. Thanks for the input, I appreciate it!

That sounds frustrating. Is it making any noise when you try to operate it, like a clicking or whirring sound? Have you checked if anything is obstructing the car blind's path? Maybe something got stuck in the mechanism? I am not really familiar with the Roomster, though.
