Skoda Roomster temperature issues and engine light
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Skoda Roomster was experiencing incorrect temperature readings on the instrument cluster, a check engine light, and prolonged engine warm-up times. The issue was suspected to be related to a restricted cooling grille caused by a blown fuse. After confirming the problem with a multimeter, the fuse was replaced, resolving the temperature issues and restoring normal engine function.

Thanks for the advice. Can you give me more details on how you found the defective fuse? Did you use a multimeter, or did you just swap it out?

I used a multimeter and confirmed the fuse was dead. It's a common issue that affects engine cooling and thermal management. Replacing the fuse is easy, but I'd still suggest a workshop check.

The workshop confirmed the cooling grille was restricted due to a blown fuse. They replaced it, and the total cost was 52€. The Roomster is running perfectly now.

I had similar issues on my Roomster: weird temperatures on the instrument cluster, engine light, and slow warm-up. Did you check the radiator grille fuse? That fixed it for me.
