Skoda Roomster Washer Fluid Warning
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Skoda Roomster displayed a persistent 'washer fluid low' warning, and the windshield washer system was non-functional. Despite checking the fluid level, the issue persisted, suggesting a potential problem with the fluid level sensor. It was advised to inspect the sensor and its connections, as a faulty sensor could cause the warning and store an error code. The problem was resolved by topping off the fluid, which cleared the warning and restored the system's functionality.

When you experienced this, was the error stored in the error memory as well? I'm wondering if a faulty sensor can cause an error code to be stored.

Yes, the error was stored in memory. It's quite possible the sensor is faulty, even if the fluid level seems adequate. In that case, the best approach would be to visit a workshop. They can properly diagnose the fault and replace the sensor if needed.

Appreciate your insights. It turned out the issue was indeed the fluid level sensor. I topped it off myself; cost me 25€ for the fluid. Dashboard light is gone and the wiper system works again.

I had a similar issue with my Skoda Octavia. If the dashboard light is on, and the windshield washer system is indeed not working, it is likely that the system has detected low fluid level. Even if you topped up the fluid, there could be an issue with the sensor itself. Check the fluid level sensor and its connection.
