Summary of the thread
A 2008 Skoda Roomster has a windshield wiper malfunction, with diagnostic tools indicating a defective cable or plug connection in the wiper switch circuit. The problem is suspected to be either the wiper switch or a wiring issue within the steering column, potentially affecting the turn signal stalk. A similar issue was resolved by checking the wiring harness near the steering column, and the repair cost was confirmed to be 95€.

Do you recall specifically which connector or cable within the steering column area was problematic? I'd like to examine it closely before throwing parts at it.

Unfortunately, I do not recall the exact connector. However, if the error logs indicate a defective connection, it is highly probable that it is a similar issue. I recommend consulting a workshop to properly diagnose the issue.

It was indeed a faulty connection, as suspected. The repair set me back 95€, just as initially diagnosed. Thanks for the assistance.

I had a similar issue with my Roomster. Have you checked the wiring harness near the steering column? It's a common point of failure for the windshield wipers.
