Skoda Scala ABS and Steering Issues

I have a 2020 Skoda Scala with a gasoline engine. It's done about 61747 km. Just this morning, the tire pressure low warning light came on. Also, the ABS lamp lights up and the steering wheel is vibrating or shaking. Seems like the power steering has failed, as more effort is needed to turn the steering wheel. Any ideas what this could be Could it be related to the low tire pressure

Summary of the thread

A 2020 Skoda Scala owner experienced issues with the ABS light, a vibrating steering wheel, and increased steering effort, initially suspecting a connection to low tire pressure. A fellow owner suggested checking tire pressure and considering a slow puncture as a potential cause. After confirming a low tire and inflating it, the problem persisted, leading to the discovery of a defective valve in the tire. Replacing the valve resolved the issues, highlighting the importance of addressing tire pressure and sensor-related problems promptly.

I had a similar problem with my Scala recently. The ABS light came on, and the steering felt heavy. Have you checked your tire pressure on all tires Even a slight pressure difference can trigger the tire monitoring system and cause those symptoms. If one tire is significantly lower than the others, you might have a slow puncture.

Thanks for the quick reply Yes, I checked the pressures. One tire was indeed low, but not completely flat. I inflated it to the correct pressure, and the warning light is still on. Could a punctured tire really cause all these issues, even with inflated tires afterwards

Yes, definitely. Even if you inflated the tires, the system might need a reset, or the tire might be losing pressure again. The vibrating steering wheel and ABS light are concerning. It's possible a punctured tire has damaged the tire pressure sensor. It is best to take it to a workshop to get it checked properly. A defective valve in the tire could be the culprit causing the low tire.

Thanks a lot I took it to a local workshop, and it turned out to be a defective valve in the tire. New valve, inflated tires, and all sorted for 280€. I appreciate your help
