Skoda Scala ABS Fault

Thanks for the quick reply. I haven't checked the wheel speed sensors myself, as I lack the diagnostic equipment. However, the error codes pointed towards a potential issue with the ABS control unit itself. Could a faulty speedometer signal also influence the ABS behavior?

Yes, a faulty speedometer signal can definitely affect the ABS. The ABS relies on accurate speed input from the transmission and wheel sensors to function correctly. If the speedometer input is erratic or missing, it can cause the ABS to malfunction. Given your symptoms and the error codes you mentioned, it’s likely the control unit itself. I'd recommend taking it to a reputable workshop for a thorough diagnosis and repair.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It seems the control unit is indeed faulty, as suspected. I have scheduled an appointment with a certified workshop, and they quoted approximately 1000€ for the repair. Hopefully, this will resolve the ABS and traction control issues permanently.

I had a similar issue with my Scala a while back, although my mileage was lower. The ABS lamp illuminated intermittently, and I noticed the traction control was less effective, especially in wet conditions. Did you check the input signal from the transmission to the ABS module? A faulty wheel speed sensor can sometimes cause this.
