Skoda Scala AC Issues

My 2019 Skoda Scala with a diesel engine is giving me headaches. The air conditioning has stopped working. The A/C system doesn't switch on, and of course, no cooling. There's an error stored in the error memory. I suspect it might be undervoltage, but I'm not sure where to start looking.

Sounds like a frustrating issue. Intermittent A/C problems can be tricky. When the A/C system shuts off, does it happen randomly, or under specific circumstances, like during acceleration or after driving for a certain period? Have you checked the AC relay itself? Sometimes a failing relay can cause similar symptoms. Also, it's worth verifying that there are no refrigerant leaks. Even a small leak can cause the system to shut down if the pressure drops too low. A scan tool should provide more detailed information about the error code.

Thanks! Where exactly is the AC relay located on the Scala? And what should I look for when checking it?

The AC relay location can vary, but it's usually in the fuse box, often under the hood or sometimes inside the cabin near the steering wheel. Consult your owner's manual for the exact location. When checking the AC relay, look for signs of corrosion, burnt contacts, or a loose connection. If you have a multimeter, you can test the relay for continuity. Since you suspect undervoltage and have an error code related to the A/C system, it's probably best to get it checked by a workshop. They can properly diagnose the electrical system and pinpoint the exact cause.

It was undervoltage. The workshop diagnosed it quickly and replaced a faulty relay switch. Total cost was 240€. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
