Skoda Scala Brake Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Skoda Scala owner experienced brake issues, including an error message and reduced brake performance, requiring excessive pedal pressure to stop. A diagnostic indicated a brake booster pressure sensor failure, which can occur if the brake system isn't bled properly. The problem was resolved by replacing the faulty sensor, restoring normal brake function.

No, I haven't had any recent work done on the brakes. When they bled the brakes incorrectly on my previous car, it felt spongy. Now, the pedal feels hard, like I have to press down a lot harder than usual. Could it still be related to bleeding, even with this hard pedal feel?

A hard pedal, as you describe, further points towards the brake booster pressure sensor. The sensor provides feedback to the car's computer, which then adjusts the amount of power assist. If the sensor is faulty, the computer may not be providing enough assistance, leading to the hard pedal and reduced brake performance. While incorrect bleeding can cause issues, the error code really seals the deal. I'd recommend getting it checked out by a workshop; they can confirm the fault and replace the sensor. It's crucial for safe braking.

Just wanted to let you know, it was the brake booster pressure sensor. Got it fixed, including parts and labor, for about 90€. The error is gone and the brake performance is back to normal. Thanks for your help!

That sounds like a potential issue with the brake system, specifically related to the hydraulic brakes. The error message and poor braking, along with the error code, strongly suggest a problem with the brake booster pressure sensor. Given your mileage, it's not unexpected for components to start showing wear. Incorrect brake system bleeding can definitely cause this, as air in the lines messes with the pressure readings and overall brake performance. Have you recently had any work done on the brake system?
