Skoda Scala check engine light

Alright, I'm seeing a check engine light on my 2020 Skoda Scala with a gasoline engine. It's got 47068 km on the clock. I suspect it's an air valve issue, because sometimes the engine seems like it will stall when idling, almost like it's gasping for air. I think the hose connection from the pump to the valve might be defective, causing some kind of manifold pressure issue. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

That sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Scala, though it took me a while to figure out. Did you check for vacuum leaks around the air intake? Those can cause all sorts of weird manifold pressure readings and idle problems. It's like trying to suck lemonade through a straw with a tiny hole in it.

Interesting analogy! Where exactly should I be looking for these vacuum leaks? Is there a specific area that's more prone to them on the Scala's air intake system?

Yep, that's almost exactly what happened to me. I spent ages looking at sensors and stuff before I realized it was a simple cracked hose. If you're not comfortable poking around yourself, I'd suggest getting it checked out at a workshop. It's usually a quick fix if that's the problem. They'll probably do a smoke test to find the leak.

I got this resolved. It was indeed the hose connection. The workshop identified the issue quickly, and the total cost was 175€ Thanks for your help!
