Thank you for the advice. Regarding the seat wiring, is there a common point of failure I should focus on? Additionally, would a generic OBD2 scanner be sufficient to read any relevant error codes, or is a specialized tool required for automotive seat diagnostics?

It is hard to say exactly where the wiring might be failing. I am only a novice. What I can say is that the error memory does indeed point to a discharged battery which can cause all sorts of electrical gremlins. I had something similar on my old Fabia and the auto-electrician said a low battery can cause the seat motor to act up if the voltage is inconsistent. Maybe it's best to get it checked at a workshop.

I appreciate your input. It appears the discharged battery was indeed the culprit as you suspected. Following a battery replacement, the error was cleared, and the seat is now functioning as expected. The total cost amounted to 290€, encompassing the new battery and diagnostic assessment.

Sounds like a frustrating problem. I remember having a similar issue with my older Octavia, although that was a manual seat. Have you checked the seat wiring harness under the seat? Sometimes they can get loose or damaged. Also, might be worth trying to locate the seat switch fuse and see if that is blown. It's a simple check before looking at the seat motor or more complex problems.
