Skoda Scala engine issues

The whistling is mostly when the turbo kicks in, around 2000 rpm. The hissing I only hear with the windows down when accelerating harder. What exactly did you do to fix it? Did you replace the whole turbo?

I did not need to replace the entire turbo system, thankfully. Considering the age and mileage it is most likely a defective cable or plug connection. Based on your description, it strongly indicates an issue with the boost pressure sensor circuitry. I recommend a diagnostic check at a reputable workshop. They can use a diagnostic tool to read the error codes, pinpointing the exact sensor and verifying the wiring. This will confirm the issue before you commit to any replacements.

Your advice was spot on! Turns out it was a faulty boost pressure sensor cable. 95€ later and she's purring like a kitten. Thanks again!

It seems you are experiencing issues with your turbocharger system. The symptoms you describe, particularly the jerking, whistling, hissing and check engine light, do suggest a potential fault with the boost pressure sensor, also referred to as a pressure sensor. I had a similar experience with my Skoda Scala a while back. Could you provide more detail regarding the 'whistling noise' and 'hissing'? Is it constant, or only during specific engine loads?
