Skoda Scala Gasoline Boost Pressure Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Skoda Scala with a gasoline engine is experiencing a boost pressure control fault, leading to a check engine light, reduced power, poor engine response, and increased fuel consumption. The suspected cause is a defect in the vacuum switching valve, possibly the bypass valve. Another potential cause mentioned is a small vacuum leak in the boost solenoid and its vacuum lines. The issue was resolved by replacing the vacuum switching valve, restoring normal boost and engine performance.

Boost solenoid and vacuum lines, interesting. Was your issue intermittent, or was it a consistent problem? Did you notice any specific driving conditions that made it worse?

Mine was fairly consistent once it started. Seemed to be slightly worse under load, like going uphill. I'd say get it checked professionally. It could save you a lot of time and potential headaches.

It was the vacuum switching valve, like I thought. Replaced it, and the boost is back to normal. Engine performance is also back, fuel consumption is down. Cost me 140€.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Scala. Check engine light, power loss, the whole shebang. Did you check the boost solenoid and its vacuum lines? A small vacuum leak there can cause a pressure drop and trigger those symptoms.
