Skoda Scala NOx Storage Catalyst Aging Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Skoda Scala owner reported a check engine light with an error indicating a NOx storage catalyst aging problem, suspecting an exhaust leak. The issue was confirmed to be an exhaust leak, which can affect sensor readings and trigger such errors. Weird smells, no. Fuel economy seems normal. But the check engine light is definitely on, and the car diagnostics tool is showing the NOx storage catalyst aging error. Could it really be something as simple as an exhaust leak?

Yep, an exhaust leak can definitely mess with the readings and trigger that error. The sensors are super sensitive. I bet that's your culprit. I'd say get it checked out at a workshop. Better safe than sorry when it comes to exhaust and car diagnostics. It might save you a bigger catalytic converter headache down the line!

Just wanted to let you know, you were right! It was a leak in the exhaust system, causing the NOx storage catalyst aging error. Repair cost 265€. Thanks for the assistance!

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Scala. Check engine light and everything. I also got some error codes related to air quality and the catalytic converter. Did you notice any weird smells or changes in fuel economy?
