Skoda Scala Power Window Issue

Thanks for the reply! When you say 'reset', do you mean just disconnecting the battery again? Or is there some kind of special procedure? I did check the fuses, and they seem okay. I'm really hoping I don't have to mess with the door panel myself; car electronics are not my forte! My window controls are just dead, that's why I'm kind of worried.

Yeah, disconnecting the battery again probably won't do it. My issue was similar, though. The power window just wouldn't respond. Honestly, I wouldn't mess with the door panel unless you really know what you're doing. You could end up making things worse. In my case, I had to bite the bullet and take it to a workshop. They have the proper tools and software to reinitialize the window regulator. Probably the safest bet for you too.

Just wanted to say thanks for the advice. Ended up taking it to a workshop, and they sorted it. Apparently, the power window initialization really did get messed up when the battery was changed, just like you suspected. Cost me 290€, but at least I can use my windows again! They mentioned something about recalibrating the window controls, but I didn't really understand the details. Still, happy it's fixed!

Hmm, sounds familiar. I've got a Scala too, and I had a similar power window problem after disconnecting the battery once. Could be the car electronics just need a reset or something. Did you try any basic troubleshooting, like checking fuses? It's a long shot, but worth a look before tearing into the door panel. Not sure if it's the exact same issue though.
