Skoda Scala sporadic errors and warning lamps
Summary of the thread
A Skoda Scala owner reported sporadic errors and warning lamps, with failures primarily in audio/navigation systems and unresponsive control units. The issue was suspected to be related to a cable connection problem in the control unit. After scanning for error codes and consulting a workshop, it was confirmed that a defective cable connection to the BUS system was causing the issues. The repair resolved the problem.

Yes, I scanned it. There are multiple errors stored, mostly related to audio and navigation. But could a defective cable really cause all these problems?

Yep, a bad connection can wreak havoc on a CAN BUS system. It's like a domino effect. One faulty connection can disrupt communication between multiple control units. Get it checked at a workshop.

As suggested, I took the Scala to a workshop. They confirmed a defective cable connection to the BUS system. The repair cost 155€. Everything seems to be working fine now. Thank you for your help!

Sounds like a BUS communication error. I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane – random warning lights and system failures. Have you scanned it with an OBD-II scan tool to see what error codes are stored?
