Skoda Scala Steering Issue

My 2020 Skoda Scala with a gasoline engine is exhibiting some concerning behavior at 216300 km. Specifically, I'm experiencing increased steering effort, almost like the power steering is failing intermittently. Also, the steering wheel vibrates or shakes sometimes. I suspect a defective steering angle sensor, potentially due to faulty coding. Any thoughts?

I had similar symptoms on my old Peugeot after a suspension rebuild. The electronic stability system went haywire due to alignment problems. Steering angle sensor failure seems plausible. Is the ESP light on?

Interesting. The ESP light flickered intermittently. What was the resolution for your Peugeot? Did you also experience increased steering effort?

Yes, steering felt heavy at times. Eventually, the automotive sensors triggered limp mode. A sensor replacement and recalibration at the shop fixed it. I'd recommend a diagnostic check.

The workshop visit confirmed faulty steering angle sensor coding. Cost was 195€ and the issue is resolved. Thanks for the advice.
