Skoda Scala Sun Blind Problem

My 2019 Skoda Scala with a diesel engine is giving me grief. The sun blind is totally stuck. It won't retract or extend, just jammed in one spot. Plus, there's an error stored in the system. I'm guessing the motor is shot? Anyone else had this sunshade repair nightmare? It's annoying since I like the extra sun protection. I wonder if it is just wear and tear.

I had a similar issue with my Scala's car blind. Does the error memory also show something? Could be the same problem.

Yeah, the error memory has a stored error. What was the fix for yours? Was it also a motor issue?

Yep, sounds identical. The workshop diagnosed a defective motor for the sunblind. I'd suggest getting it checked, probably a similar fix.

Thanks for the info! I took it to a local mechanic, and they confirmed it was the sunblind motor. Repair cost me 330€, as expected. At least now I have full UV protection again and the car interior looks as it should.
