Skoda Scala Transmission Issues

I haven't checked the transmission oil level myself yet. Where exactly would I check that on a 2020 Scala with an automatic transmission? Is it something I can easily do at home, or does it require special tools and knowledge?

A low oil level can cause the sensor to report incorrect temperatures due to inadequate lubrication and cooling. This triggers the emergency mode and other symptoms you're experiencing. I still recommend taking it to a workshop to verify the oil level and check for any leaks. The automatic transmissions are quite sensitive and it's better to get it checked by a professional.

Took the Scala to the workshop, and you were right. The transmission oil level was low, causing the sensor to throw errors. They topped it up and cleared the codes, and after a test drive, everything seems to be running smoothly again. The whole thing cost me 365€, which is a lot less than a new gearbox. Thanks for the help.

Those symptoms definitely point to a transmission issue. Slipping gears and grinding noises are never good. An oil temperature sensor fault could trigger emergency mode. Have you checked the transmission oil level? Is there any visible leakage?
