Skoda Scala warning lights

Alright, bit of a panic here. My 2020 Skoda Scala diesel has started throwing up some worrying lights. The oil temperature warning light is on in the speedometer, and there's an error stored in the error memory. To top it off, the oil pressure warning lamp is also lighting up. I've read somewhere it could be the oil temperature sensor, and the cable or plug connection might be defective. Anyone else had this? Getting worried.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar scare with my Scala. Oil pressure light is never a good sign, is it? Did you check the oil level itself first? Low oil could trigger the same warning. But yeah, the oil temperature sensor is a known issue. I'd also check the connection to the sensor itself. Is it loose, corroded, anything obvious?

Good shout. The oil level is fine. When you say check the connection, what exactly am I looking for? I'm not really a mechanic...

Right, so if the oil level is definitely okay, and you're still getting those warnings, then it's pretty likely the temperature sensor or its wiring. Honestly, unless you're comfortable with car electrics, I'd say get it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose it and replace the sensor or repair the wiring. Could save you a bigger headache down the line. I know it's annoying, but sometimes it's the best approach.

Just wanted to say thanks for the advice. Took it to the shop and you were spot on, cable to the oil temperature sensor was the culprit. 95€ later and all good. Appreciate the help.
