Skoda Superb Audio System Failure

Alright, I'm at my wit's end. My 2009 Skoda Superb with a diesel engine is giving me grief. The audio system is completely dead, navigation is non-functional, and VCDS is showing a MOST bus fault. Seems like a data transmission issue somewhere in the bus network, probably a defect in one of the control units using fiber optics automotive protocol. Anyone encountered something like this before? What could it be?

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my Skoda Superb. No sound, the nav system was dead, and it turned out to be related to the car's electronics. Did you check the fuses?

Interesting. When you say similar, was it exactly the same symptoms? What was the actual faulty component in your case?

Yeah, same symptoms: no sound, dead nav. I didn't poke around myself much; car electronics are black magic to me. I took it straight to a workshop. They ran diagnostics and found a module on the bus network was kaput. That MOST bus thing you mentioned. I'd suggest getting it professionally diagnosed.

It was indeed a faulty module on the MOST bus. Cost me about 1000€ to diagnose and replace. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
