Skoda Superb automatic transmission shifting issues
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Skoda Superb hybrid with 55,387 km is experiencing unusual automatic transmission shifting and occasionally enters emergency mode. The problem may be related to worn-out hydraulic fluid or undervoltage issues. A workshop visit confirmed the automatic transmission oil was worn out, and replacing it resolved the shifting issues, restoring smooth operation.

Yeah, the transmission indicator light did come on. What exactly was your issue, and how did you fix it?

Yep, same symptoms exactly. For me, the automatic transmission was in emergency mode. I'm no expert, but it sounds like you should head to a workshop. Get them to check the oil and the automatic transmission itself.

Alright, thanks for the confirmation. The workshop found the automatic transmission oil worn out and replaced it. Apparently, undervoltage in the vehicle can cause this. Cost me 240€. Shifting is smooth again.

Woah, transmission problems already? I had a similar issue with my Superb's automatic gearbox. The shifting went totally haywire! Was the transmission indicator light on too?
