Skoda Superb Check Engine Light NOx Sensor Issue

My 2006 Skoda Superb with a gasoline engine is showing a check engine light. The error memory indicates a NOx sensor failure. Mileage is 123148 km. I also noticed some exhaust leaking. Could a defective cable or plug connection of the component really be the cause? I thought the catalytic converter was damaged. Any ideas about the exhaust system or pollution control?

I had a similar issue with my Skoda Superb. Check the cable and plug connection of the NOx sensor. That's a common problem.

Could you give me more information? Where exactly was the defective connection located?

Yes, the connection to the NOx sensor. If the cable is damaged or the plug is corroded, the sensor won't work properly, triggering the check engine light. I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop to confirm.

Thanks for the insights. I checked the NOx sensor cable and the plug connection, and you were right, that was the problem. It was an easy fix. I spent 95€ for the replacement and now the check engine light is off!
