Hi, thanks for your answer. Well, my Skoda Superb already has 196500 kilometers on it and the last service was at 191000 kilometers. At first I thought it was something serious, but if it's just the boost pressure regulator, I'm a bit more reassured now. I thought it was the turbo giving up the ghost. Oh yes, my garage is an independent one, the guys are really fit. They said they'd have to take a look first. I'll be there tomorrow and tell them exactly what's going on. So, thanks again for the info, now I know what to expect.

Hi, thanks for the additional information about your Skoda Superb. Well then, good luck at the workshop tomorrow and let's hope that it really is just the boost pressure regulator. The symptoms you describe also apply to a defective turbo, but as it was similar with my Skoda Octavia and it was only the boost pressure regulator, there is reason for hope. Don't forget to describe exactly what's wrong to the guys at the workshop, this often helps enormously. Maybe you'll get off a bit cheaper than I did, it happens sometimes. It would be cool if you could keep us up to date here with the outcome. All the best!

Hello, your problem sounds really annoying. I had a similar problem with my 2008 Skoda Octavia Diesel, which is a very similar model. I have little to medium experience with cars. At my garage they said that the boost pressure regulator was mechanically defective. The repair cost was 1520 euros, which was quite a lot of money, but after that my car ran smoothly again. It would be cool if you could give some more information about your car, what exactly the symptoms are, which workshop you visit and what they have found out so far, so that they can help you better.
