Skoda Superb Diesel DPF Issue

I'm experiencing some issues with my 2012 Skoda Superb diesel engine. A warning light has appeared, and I've noticed a reduction in engine power. Additionally, there's smoke during acceleration and a strong exhaust smell. I scanned for error codes, and it indicates a diesel particulate filter exhaust pressure that is too low. DPF regeneration doesn't seem to solve the problem. I suspect a defective exhaust back pressure sensor. Has anyone experienced something similar?

I have a Skoda Superb as well. I had similar DPF issues not long ago. Reduced engine power and a strong smell were present. Have you checked the exhaust back pressure sensor?

Thanks for the quick reply. Was your experience also related to a 'low pressure' error in the exhaust system? Did you replace the sensor yourself?

Yes, the error was related to low pressure in the exhaust system. I did not replace the sensor myself. Considering the DPF issues and potential complications with the exhaust system, I recommend taking it to a workshop.

I appreciate you confirming my suspicions. I took the car to a workshop and, as you suggested, the exhaust back pressure sensor was indeed faulty. The final repair cost was 245€. Thank you for your help!
