Did the car alarm also trigger randomly? And was it just one door, or multiple?

Yes, the car alarm was triggering seemingly at random. It was only the driver's side door initially. I'd recommend checking the door switch itself and the wiring harness, but honestly, you might be better off taking it to a workshop.

Appreciate the insight. Took it to the shop, faulty door switch. Wiring harness was indeed the culprit. 95€ later and it's sorted.

I had a similar problem with my Superb. Intermittent car alarm and the door lock acting up. Have you checked the door switch and the wiring harness leading to it? It might be an electrical issue there.
