Skoda Superb engine issues

Yes, the whistling definitely gets louder as the RPMs increase. Where exactly is the boost pressure sensor located on the intake manifold of the Superb? Any tips on how to best inspect the cable and plug connection?

The increase in whistling with RPMs further points to a boost leak. The boost pressure sensor is typically located on the intake manifold, often near the throttle body or intercooler piping. For inspection, visually check the cable for any damage (cuts, abrasions). Gently wiggle the connector while the engine is running (be careful of moving parts) to see if the engine stumbles or the readings change. If you're not comfortable doing this, it would be prudent to take it to a workshop for proper diagnosis. Continuing to drive with a boost leak can potentially damage the turbocharger.

It was indeed the boost pressure sensor cable. Replaced it myself for 95€. Runs like new. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

The symptoms you describe – engine light, jerking, whistling, hissing, stalling, increased fuel consumption, and reduced power – strongly suggest a boost leak somewhere in the system. Given the mileage, I would start by inspecting all the hoses and connections related to the turbocharger and intake manifold. Check for cracks, loose clamps, or any signs of wear and tear. A faulty boost pressure sensor or its wiring could definitely be the culprit, especially with those symptoms. Does the whistling/hissing sound change with engine RPM?
