Skoda Superb Hands Free Microphone Failure

Bluetooth connects without a problem, and the speakers work fine. It's just the microphone that's dead. And voice recognition is unresponsive. I've double-checked all the volume and microphone settings. Could it really be the whole infotainment system? Seems drastic, doesn't it?

If voice recognition is gone and you've got an error code pointing to the microphone, it sounds like the infotainment system itself. Could be a software glitch, but more likely a hardware fault. Diagnosing those things without the proper tools is a nightmare. Best bet is to take it to a workshop; they can run proper diagnostics.

Took the Superb to the workshop. They confirmed a faulty infotainment system was causing the microphone issue. Replacement cost 815€. Ouch! But at least hands-free and voice recognition are working again. Thanks for the input!

That's a weird one. Bluetooth connects fine, just no sound from the microphone? Does the voice recognition also fail? Have you tried adjusting the volume settings during a call? Sometimes it's the simplest things…
