Skoda Superb Hybrid Battery Drain

Experiencing a significant battery drain issue with my Skoda Superb Hybrid from 2022. The car has about 203008 km on it. I'm getting an error message in the speedometer, along with weak and flickering lights. Error memory also shows a fault. Even starting the engine is a struggle due to the weak battery. I suspect it might be a defective battery sensor. Anyone else run into this?

Sounds like you have a similar issue to what I had with my Superb. I had a crazy battery drain that I couldn't figure out. Have you checked your battery terminals for corrosion or loose connections? It's the first place to look. Think of it like a leaky pipe, you gotta check the joints first before blaming the whole system.

Interesting. When you say 'similar issue,' do you mean you also had the error message and the flickering lights? Was it also related to a faulty sensor, or was it something else causing the battery drain for you?

Yep, the error message and flickering lights were exactly what I experienced. I initially tried battery charging, but it didn't solve the underlying problem. Eventually, the workshop identified a faulty battery sensor causing the excessive battery drain. I'd recommend getting it checked out professionally.

Thanks for the input. Turns out it was indeed the battery sensor. Replaced it, and all the battery drain issues are gone. Cost me around 315€, but at least it's fixed.
