Skoda Superb Hybrid Blower Motor Failure

I am experiencing an issue with my 2022 Skoda Superb hybrid. The blower motor has ceased functioning entirely. After conducting some preliminary diagnostics, I suspect a fault with the AUC sensor. My understanding is that a defective cable or plug connection on the component could be the root cause. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem?

That sounds incredibly frustrating! I have a Skoda Superb as well. I experienced something similar with the blower motor behaving erratically. Have you checked the odor sensor – sometimes called the BMW AUC sensor, or air quality sensor? It governs the auto recirculation function. When mine acted up, it was like the car couldn’t decide if it wanted fresh air or recirculated air. Does the air recirculation function work at all?

Thank you for the quick response. So, if I understand correctly, a faulty odor sensor could directly impact the blower motor's operation, even to the point of complete failure? I was under the impression that the AUC sensor primarily controlled the recirculation flap. Could you perhaps elaborate on how these two systems are interconnected?

Absolutely. Think of it like this: the AUC sensor is the brain, and the blower motor is a muscle it controls. If the brain is getting bad information from the sensor, it might tell the muscle (blower motor) to just stop. In my case, the faulty AUC sensor caused the system to shut down the blower entirely as a safety measure. I ended up taking it to a workshop; they pinpointed the issue to a corroded connector on the AUC sensor itself. I suggest a visit to a professional to confirm the fault.

I appreciate you confirming my suspicions. I took it to the workshop, and it was indeed the AUC sensor cable. They replaced the defective plug connection, and the blower is now working again. Total cost was 95€. Thank you for your assistance.
