Skoda Superb Hybrid Engine Problems
Summary of the thread
The 2023 Skoda Superb hybrid experienced rough engine running, stalling at idle, and jerking during acceleration, with the check engine light on. The suspected cause was a defective ignition coil, particularly on cylinder 3, as indicated by vehicle diagnostics. The problem was resolved by replacing the ignition coil, which restored the car's performance.

The spark plugs haven't been changed since I bought the car, so that's probably overdue. The vehicle diagnostics indicated a misfire on cylinder 3. Does that information change your diagnosis at all? Is it likely to be the coil pack on cylinder 3?

Cylinder 3 misfire plus overdue spark plugs points strongly toward coil failure on cylinder 3. While it could be something else, the odds favor coil pack issues. Before diving too deep, check the connections. But realistically, with those symptoms, you're probably looking at replacing that coil. Best get it to a workshop!

I got it sorted. The garage confirmed it was indeed the ignition coil. They replaced it, and the car runs great. The bill was 95€ including labor. Thanks for your help; I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction!

Rough running and stalling? With the check engine light on, misfire is definitely a strong possibility. When was the last time you replaced the spark plugs? Did the vehicle diagnostics specifically point to a cylinder misfire, and if so, which cylinder?
