Skoda Superb Hybrid Engine Troubles
Summary of the thread
The 2021 Skoda Superb Hybrid is experiencing poor starts, stalling at idle, and an illuminated check engine light. The suspected cause is a faulty camshaft sensor, potentially due to a defective encoder wheel. A similar issue was resolved by replacing both the camshaft sensor and encoder wheel, suggesting a workshop visit for a thorough diagnosis and repair.

Interesting. What fixed it for you? Was it just a camshaft sensor, or something more with the ignition timing?

It was the camshaft sensor. The diagnostic pointed to it right away. But the real problem was the encoder wheel, like you thought. Apparently, it's a common issue. Just changing the sensor might only help for a bit. A workshop visit is probably the best idea.

The workshop visit confirmed the camshaft sensor and encoder wheel were the issue. The repair set me back 695€, but the car is running smoothly now.

That sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my Skoda Superb: rough starts, stalling, and the check engine light. Have you checked the camshaft position sensor?
