Skoda Superb Hybrid Overheating Error

I am experiencing an issue with my 2022 Skoda Superb hybrid. The engine is overheating, and there is an error stored related to the bypass valve. The car has 59565 km on the odometer. Could this be a consequential error resulting from another problem, or is the bypass valve itself likely the culprit? What could be the cause of this bypass valve malfunction?

Summary of the thread

The 2022 Skoda Superb hybrid experienced an overheating issue with an error related to the bypass valve. The core problem was identified as a coolant leak in the vacuum system, which caused the bypass valve malfunction. After addressing the coolant leak, the bypass valve issue was resolved. The repair was covered under warranty, resolving the overheating problem.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Overheating and a stored error certainly sound concerning. Is there any noticeable power loss accompanying the overheating? Have you checked the coolant levels recently? It might be worthwhile to examine the vacuum system for any obvious leaks or damage before assuming the bypass valve itself is faulty.

Regarding the vacuum system, is there a particular area I should focus on? I understand the general principle, but I'm not intimately familiar with the Skoda Superb's hybrid engine layout. Are there any common weak points in the vacuum system that are known to cause bypass valve issues?

Given the error and the overheating, a coolant leak affecting the vacuum system seems plausible, especially if it's impacting the bypass valve's operation. It is difficult to diagnose the exact location without inspecting the vehicle. Perhaps a visit to a qualified workshop is warranted for a comprehensive assessment.

The car repair was performed. It turned out the bypass valve malfunction was indeed a consequential error. A coolant leak in the vacuum system was the root cause, and after addressing that, the bypass valve issue disappeared. The car repair was free of charge due to warranty coverage. Thank you for your insight.
