Skoda Superb Massage Seat Issue

My 2021 Skoda Superb hybrid has developed a fault. The massage seat switch isn't working and the massage function cannot be switched on. The car has 55389 km on the clock. There's an error stored in the error memory, which suggests a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced this before? It impacts car upholstery in a way.

Interesting issue. Does the seat switch light up at all when you press it? Have you checked the relevant fuse for the seat? Sometimes a blown fuse can cause seemingly unrelated systems to malfunction. Automotive seats are complex; they integrate many functions into one unit, and issues can arise anywhere in the system. The massage function is often controlled by a separate module, so it's possible that's the source of the problem.

The switch itself doesn't light up, no. Where exactly would I find the fuse for the seat? I've checked the main fuse box, but didn't see anything specific for the massage function. Is it possible there's another fuse box somewhere?

Okay, the fact that the switch isn't lighting up is a key point. It does sound like a power supply issue to the switch itself, which supports the error code about the cable or plug. The fuse for the seat might be in a secondary fuse box, often located under the rear seat or in the trunk. However, locating specific fuses can be tricky, and it's often best left to a professional. Considering the error code and the lack of switch illumination, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. The estimated 95€ repair cost seems reasonable for diagnosing and fixing a wiring issue. Plus, they'll have the proper tools to access and test the connections without damaging the car interior.

Took it to the workshop. They confirmed the error memory pointed to a defective cable or plug connection, as suspected. Repair cost was 95€. Massage seat is working again. Thanks for your input.
