Skoda Superb Rear Sun Blind Problem

I'm having a frustrating issue with my 2023 Skoda Superb hybrid. The rear sun blind has completely stopped working. It refuses to retract or extend, basically stuck in one position. The car's throwing an error code related to it. It's likely the motor that controls the sun visor has gone bad. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on how to fix it without breaking the bank?

I have a Skoda Superb as well. I experienced a similar issue with my sun blind. When you say 'stuck', is it making any noise, or is it completely unresponsive? Check the fuse box first, just to rule out something simple. Otherwise, it does sound like the motor. If it is the motor, it's not something you can easily repair yourself, as it's integrated into the sun visor assembly. Do you have the panoramic roof?

Thanks for the quick reply! Yeah, it's completely unresponsive, no noise at all. I did check the fuses, and they all seem fine. I was hoping it was something simple like that. And yes, it's the model with the panoramic roof. Does that make a difference?

The panoramic roof is relevant because it often includes an integrated sun blind system, which can sometimes have specific failure points. Given that you've checked the fuses and it's still unresponsive, and you have a stored error, a defective motor is the most probable cause. Replacement of the entire sun blind assembly is generally required. I advise consulting a qualified workshop to diagnose the fault and to replace the sun blind unit.

Just to let you know, your advice was spot on. The local workshop confirmed it was the sun blind motor. They replaced it, and now it's working perfectly again. Cost me around 330€, but at least it's fixed. Thanks again for your help!
