That's interesting. How did you determine it was the tank ventilation valve? Were there other symptoms besides the engine light and stalling?

The symptoms matched: engine light and stalling. I initially thought it was the gas cap, but the mechanic said the tank ventilation valve is a known problem, especially when the emission system is acting up. I would suggest having it checked at a workshop. They can test the valve and the pressure sensor.

Workshop visit confirmed the tank ventilation valve was the issue. Clogged hoses were found. Repair set me back 175€, but the engine light is off and the car runs smoothly now. Thanks for the assistance.

I had a similar experience with my Superb. Check engine light and stalling at idle. It might be the tank ventilation valve. A faulty valve could cause the pressure sensor to misread.
