Skoda Superb stalling at idle

My 2016 Skoda Superb with a gasoline engine is giving me trouble. The engine light is on, and it stalls at idle with 172612 km on the clock. I suspect the emission system or the gas cap, possibly tank ventilation with clogged hoses. Any ideas?

I had a similar experience with my Superb. Check engine light and stalling at idle. It might be the tank ventilation valve. A faulty valve could cause the pressure sensor to misread.

That's interesting. How did you determine it was the tank ventilation valve? Were there other symptoms besides the engine light and stalling?

The symptoms matched: engine light and stalling. I initially thought it was the gas cap, but the mechanic said the tank ventilation valve is a known problem, especially when the emission system is acting up. I would suggest having it checked at a workshop. They can test the valve and the pressure sensor.

Workshop visit confirmed the tank ventilation valve was the issue. Clogged hoses were found. Repair set me back 175€, but the engine light is off and the car runs smoothly now. Thanks for the assistance.
