Skoda Yeti automatic transmission fault

Alright, I'm having a proper head-scratcher with my 2014 Skoda Yeti diesel. Mileage is sitting at 152481 km. Check engine light and transmission indicator are both on. Getting gearbox slips and unclean shifts, plus some nasty grinding noises when it changes gears. Error memory is showing something related to the automatic transmission torque converter lock-up clutch defective. Suspect it's the automatic transmission converter itself that's buggered. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds a lot like what happened with my Yeti. Same auto transmission. Had a similar clutch problem, converter fault I think they called it. Did it start with some rough shifting and then the lights?

Rough shifting alright, especially between 3rd and 4th. Was the converter failure the cause of your issues, and did you also get grinding noises with the shifting?

Yeah, those grinding noises are not a good sign. Definitely sounds like the converter. I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop to be certain, but from what you're describing, it seems the converter is faulty. Best not to drive it too much like that.

Cheers for the input. Confirmed the automatic gearbox converter fault with a local garage. Converter failure it was, cost me 2120€ to sort out. At least it's running smoothly now.
