Skoda Yeti climate control issues

I'm facing an issue with my 2015 Skoda Yeti featuring a gasoline engine. The climate control panel is completely unresponsive. The error memory contains a stored error, the heating output is significantly low, and the air conditioning system refuses to engage. Based on my research, the likely culprit is a defective cable or plug connection within the system. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I experienced a similar problem with my Yeti's HVAC system a while back. Although the symptoms might be different, the underlying cause could very well be the same. Have you checked the fuses related to the climate control system? Also, inspect the wiring harness and electrical connectors that connect to the climate control panel. A loose or corroded connector can disrupt the power supply and cause electronic faults.

Thank you for your insights! Could you elaborate on which specific wiring harness and electrical connectors I should be focusing on? I am not very familiar with the system's layout, but I am willing to investigate further before taking it to a professional.

Indeed, after further investigation, the source of my issue was a faulty connection within the wiring harness. The mechanic specifically mentioned that the electrical connectors behind the climate control panel are prone to corrosion, which can lead to intermittent or complete failure. If you're not comfortable probing around the electrical components yourself, it might be best to take it to a trusted workshop for proper diagnosis and repair. It appears that a defective cable or plug connection is a plausible explanation.

Just letting you know the issue is resolved. The diagnostic indicated a fault in the wiring harness leading to the climate control panel, just like you said. The workshop identified a corroded electrical connector, cleaned it, and secured the connection. Now the HVAC system is working perfectly. Total cost was 95€ as estimated. Thanks for the advice!
