How would I check the throttle position sensor and the brake light switch? Is there a specific fuse I should be looking for?

Checking those sensors requires diagnostic tools. The throttle position sensor tells the ECU (engine control unit) how far the throttle is open. The brake light switch signals when you're braking, which deactivates cruise control for safety. While you can check fuses, the error code suggests a deeper issue. It might be best to have a workshop diagnose it properly.

The workshop found a defective cable. Cost me 95€, but the cruise control is working now. Thanks for the help.

Cruise control issues on these can be tricky. Have you checked the brake light switch? A faulty switch can disable the cruise control. Also, is the throttle position sensor working correctly? A bad reading there could also be the culprit. Finally, check for any blown fuses related to the cruise control system.
