Skoda Yeti Diesel Electrical Problems
Summary of the thread
A Skoda Yeti diesel owner experienced electrical issues, with the navigation system and other electronics not functioning, while the engine started without problems. Suspecting the cause to be transport mode, it was suggested to check the car's configuration, which requires specialized tools and isn't a DIY task. After taking the car to a workshop, it was confirmed that transport mode was active, and a software reset resolved the issue, restoring all electronics to working order.

Thanks for the quick reply. I purchased it used, so I don't know if it was recently transported. How exactly do I check the car's configuration, and is a software installation something I can do myself?

The car's configuration requires specialized diagnostic tools; it's not a DIY task. The software installation also needs specific equipment. Take it to a workshop to confirm if transport mode is indeed active and have them reset the car.

Took it to a shop and they confirmed it was the transport mode. Car configuration was reset with a software installation, and everything is working now. No cost involved.

Transport mode can cause those symptoms. Was the car recently transported? Check the car's configuration. Sometimes a software installation is needed to deactivate it.
