Skoda Yeti diesel engine reduced power
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Skoda Yeti with a diesel engine is experiencing reduced power and a check engine light, leading to a suspicion of a faulty throttle valve. Possible causes include issues with the throttle valve, throttle sensor, or air intake. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle diagnosed by a mechanic, which confirmed the throttle valve as the issue, and replacing it resolved the problem.

How did you determine it was the throttle valve? What were the exact symptoms?

The symptoms were almost identical: reduced power, check engine light. I initially suspected the throttle sensor, but the mechanic confirmed it was a defective throttle valve. It affects the air flow. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed.

Thank you for your help. It was indeed the throttle valve. The replacement cost me 265€. Now it runs smoothly again.

Sounds like a faulty throttle valve. I had a similar issue with my Yeti. The engine idling was rough, and the check engine light was on. Have you checked the throttle sensor and the air flow? It might also be related to the air intake.
