Skoda Yeti diesel engine reduced power

I'm desperate. My 2010 Skoda Yeti with a diesel engine has reduced engine power, and the check engine light is on. The mileage is 24857 km. I suspect it's the throttle valve. Could it be the accelerator pedal module or some other electronics? I'm not sure what to do.

Sounds like a faulty throttle valve. I had a similar issue with my Yeti. The engine idling was rough, and the check engine light was on. Have you checked the throttle sensor and the air flow? It might also be related to the air intake.

How did you determine it was the throttle valve? What were the exact symptoms?

The symptoms were almost identical: reduced power, check engine light. I initially suspected the throttle sensor, but the mechanic confirmed it was a defective throttle valve. It affects the air flow. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed.

Thank you for your help. It was indeed the throttle valve. The replacement cost me 265€. Now it runs smoothly again.
